Great post by a fellow blogger. I needed to read that this morning.
As my cold continues to hang on, the training feels insurmountable. We did an interval workout yesterday (Yay for sunshine and a little melting of the snow/ice) that just about wiped my out. But, I did it.
The part of the above blog post that resonated with me was about faith. Faith in your training plan. When in school the teacher didn’t give you a test the first day. (Maybe some did, but that was usually diagnostic and mean.) You worked week-after-week to learn the material. Then, you were able to perform. Training for a race is no different. We may do trial runs, but the actual test is only one day. To get there, you need to stick to the plan.
